PSG’s Bread and Butter

The sustainment paragraph focuses on logistics, personnel and medical matters. All things that the PSG does already, so typically the PSG briefs this paragraph instead of the PL.

Locations

Include current and proposed locations more importantly:

• CCPs (Casualty collection points)
• HLZs (Helicopter landing zones)
• AXPs (Ambulatory exchange points)

Maintenance plan

Include weapons and timing

Transportation

If transportation used then brief it

Supply classes

• Class I: Food, Rations and water ex: 76 topped off canteens and 38 MRE’s
• Class II: Individual equipment ex: 6 Radios, 2 240s, 2, 249s ready to go
• Class III: Petroleum, oils, and lubricants ex: CLP oil
• Class V: Ammunition ex: 2500 rounds 5.56 unlinked, 600 rounds 5.56 linked, 1200 rounds 7.62 linked
• Class VIII: Medical supplies ex: CLS bag, Sled
• Class IX: Repair parts ex: Rifle repair kit
• Distribution methods if needed, most commonly used for ammo

List extraction and medical points, Triage triangle State how wounded will be treated ex: Self care, buddy care, medic medical evacuation procedures and preventative measures
