The Mission in Play

The mission paragraph is the shortest and simplest out of the entire OPORD. It’s practically given to you. You just have to repeat it. It should be 1 short sentence. Short, distinct, and clear.

5 W’s

The mission paragraph should cover the 5 W’s that is:

• Who? (1st Platoon)
• What? (Ambushes)
• Where? (In VIC EG 3232 4432)
• When? (NLT 1600)
• Why? (IOT destroy enemy)

The completed paragraphs goes as follows: “1st Platoon will conduct an Ambush In VIC EG 3232 4432 NLT 1600 IOT destory the enemy” Make sure to say it twice with “I say again:”
