Opords

The OPORD (Operation Order), are the instructions or orders given to your subordinates to help coordinate and execute the mission. It follows a 5 paragraph format consisting of situation, mission, execution, sustainment and command/signal. All of this information helps your subordinates know how you want the plan executed and also help them better understand the order. A terrain model is also used to further explain how things should be done.

Just think of it as the plan, or how you want the mission to go. You give these orders to your subordinates so they know what to do and then you execute the mission.
